The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Orit Farkash HaCohen, signed a historic agreement in the field of technology and science with Morocco yesterday (Thursday) with the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Morocco.
This is the first agreement of its kind between the State of Israel and Morocco, which has created collaborations in a wide range of areas that interest the countries in the world of science and technology.
In the areas of: artificial intelligence, agricultural technologies, water management and water desalination, desertification, food processing technologies, biotechnology, renewable energies, medical technologies and the pharmaceutical industry, smart cities and the automotive industry, information technology, space, humanities and social sciences and environment.
A joint team of professionals from the two countries will now be built to implement the technology agreement.
The agreement includes, among other things, joint funding of research and development projects, seminars and scientific meetings.
This is the third technology agreement signed by the Minister of Innovation with Medina from the Avraham agreements, after a few months ago the Minister signed an agreement in the field of space with Dubai and a technology agreement with Bahrain.
