Strolling while observing the boats moored and sailing in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis) will soon be possible.
In the spring of 2023, the City of Paris plans to open a new port on the Canal de l'Ourcq in Pantin, on the edge of the former premises of the Magasins Généraux.
For several years now, the capital – owner of the waterway, which goes from the Villette basin (19th century) to Meaux (Seine-et-Marne) – has wanted to have a new marina, in addition to the two that it already has in Paris: that of the Arsenal in the 12th and the nautical stopover of La Villette in the 19th.
