Fire in a Greek restaurant - large-scale operation in Wolfratshausen

A fire broke out in the Wolfratshausen district of Farchet.

Major alarm in the Farchet district of Wolfratshausen: a fire broke out in a building late on Friday afternoon.
The extinguishing work lasted until the evening.
Update 9 p.m
.: The firefighters have the fire under control over the restaurant “Der Grieche” in the Farchet district of Wolfratshausen.
"It's now secured to the extent that it won't spread any further," says District Fire Councilor Erich Zengerle.
The emergency services have started the post-extinguishing work from the inside and from the outside using two turntable ladders.
"They will take at least another two hours," says Zengerle.
For the fire brigade, however, the operation will not be over yet: there are clean-up work and probably a fire station.

When the fire brigade arrived shortly after 5 p.m., everyone had already left the building, reports Zengerle.
The 17 residents were housed elsewhere.
"15 privately and two in the multi-purpose hall," according to the district fire council.
Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner was also there.
At times there was no electricity in the neighborhood.
As there is an above-ground line on the roof of the building that caught fire, the network operator switched off the electricity to be on the safe side, reports Zengerle.
"We work close to the line." In the meantime, the line has been cut.
That means: only the affected building is without electricity, the houses in the area are supplied with electricity again.
In addition to 93 firefighters, the BRK and the police are on duty.
According to Zengerle, one person was taken to a hospital.
A firefighter had to be taken care of, but is already well again.
The BRK also organized catering for the emergency services.
The volunteer fire brigades from Weidach, Wolfratshausen, Geretsried and Gelting were on site with 93 emergency services.

Police: Building presumably no longer habitable
Update 7 p.m.:
The fire is not yet under control, reports District Fire Councilor Erich Zengerle.
The fire brigade is on site with two turntable ladders.
The roof membrane is currently being opened to remove embers.

Update 6.30 p.m

The extinguishing work continues.
First, the attic was on fire.
The Wolfratshausen police cannot yet say whether the fire also started there.
No one was in the building when the operation began, police said.
The building is believed to be uninhabitable.
In addition to the police and rescue service, the volunteer fire brigades from Weidach, Wolfratshausen, Geretsried and Gelting are on site.
In addition, the district fire inspection and the support group for local operations management moved in, a spokesman said.

According to initial information from our newspaper, the top floor of the restaurant "Der Grieche" is affected by the fire.
