In his book, an Austrian ex-manager unpacks about fast food chains like McDonald's and Burger King.

Vienna – For many children, a visit to McDonald's or Burger King is a real highlight.

Hamburgers, fries & Co. are always devoured in no time at all.

But at the latest when you grow up, it becomes clear: fast food is unhealthy.

And even if we still make a detour to one of the junk food chains from time to time – it is often accompanied by a bad conscience.

Harald Sükar is someone who has finally given up on fast food.

The Austrian worked as a manager at McDonald's for many years and knows what's going on behind the scenes.

Sükar has now published a book in which he urgently warns against fast food chains.

"Don't go!

Not to McDonald's.

Not to Burger King.

Not to the other fast food giants.

Especially not with your children.

Not even exceptionally," said Sükar in an interview with the

Austrian courier

.

Nutrition: Fast food triggers many civilization diseases

His state of health, which continued to deteriorate, encouraged him to rethink radically.

Sükar was severely overweight.

After a lot of research, he came to the conclusion that an unhealthy diet triggers at least 19 lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, cancer and arthritis.

That was a shock for Sükar.

Because consuming fast food was no exception for him.

He worried about his health and that of his customers.

In his new book "The Fast Food Trap", the former McDonald's manager has recorded the results of several studies as well as interesting facts about healthy eating*.

His goal: He wants to clarify.

“The book isn't specifically against McDonald's, I liked working there – it's against the industry and about conscious nutrition.

If even one child less develops diabetes, I have achieved my goal,” says Sükar.
