When the Colombian government and the Farc guerrillas signed the final peace agreement in November 2016, many Colombians expected a general pacification of the national territory.
While the Farc had previously administered large areas, the agreements provided for a return of the state throughout the country.
Certainly, in today's Colombia, vast regions are once again accessible without risk.
The Colombians themselves are surprised to be able to travel by land again in the country.
But the promise of reconquest by the State of the entire territory has not been kept.
Worse: President Ivan Duque, close to former President Alvaro Uribe, has done nothing to implement the peace agreements.
As nature abhors a vacuum, the areas “liberated” by the Farc have been the object of the desires of many armed groups.
