A terrible traffic accident occurred on the night of Thursday to Friday, shortly before 1:30 a.m.
A vehicle lay on its side, in circumstances that remain to be established, opposite 17, avenue de Paris, in L'Isle-Adam.
On board, five young people aged 17 and 18 were seriously injured.
It was a group of friends.
According to the first elements, there would be no other vehicles involved.
The two most serious victims, a young man and a young girl aged 18 and 17, were transported in absolute urgency to the Beaujon hospital in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine) and to the European Georges-Pompidou hospital ( Paris XV).
The three other teenagers were hospitalized in relative emergency in the department, at the Pontoise hospital center at the Carnelle Portes de l'Oise hospital group, in Beaumont-sur-Oise.
Increase in accidents since the beginning of the year
Since the start of 2022, seventeen people have lost their lives on the roads of Val-d'Oise.
The services of the prefecture report the worst figures in recent years.
The number of deaths as of April 30 was "only" six in 2021, two in 2020, three in 2019, nine in 2018 and six in 2017, a particularly dark year during which the final toll stood at 39 killed on the departmental roads.
Faced with "the resurgence of accidents since the beginning of the year", the prefect of Val-d'Oise asked the departmental security forces "to strengthen road checks, to ensure strict compliance with road safety rules".
On Wednesday, May 25, numerous control operations were also carried out by all the security forces.
