Meghan Markle kneels to victims of Texas shooting

Meghan Markle visited the Texas city of Uvalde on Thursday to commemorate the victims of the elementary school shooting that killed 19 students and two teachers.

Uvalde - The Duchess of Sussex, 40, on Thursday visited the town of Uvalde, Texas, where 21 people, including 19 children, were killed in a horrifying incident at an elementary school.

She donated food to volunteers and laid flowers at the memorial.

Two days earlier, an 18-year-old gunman caused unimaginable suffering when he entered the school after a car accident.

"She made this journey in her personal capacity as a mother to personally offer her condolences and support to a community that is experiencing unimaginable grief," said a spokesman for Meghan Markle, who is associated with the campaign by US President Joe Biden (79) and First Lady Jill Biden (70) "preceded" who are expected on Sunday from the traumatized city of Uvalde, Texas.

Meghan, who resolutely walked 1400 miles from Montecito, California, laid white flowers with a purple ribbon in front of the Uvalde County Courthouse, crouched in front of the tomb of 10-year-old victim Uziyah Garcia and kept her head down hanging on the little boy's cross.

Markle was dressed casually in jeans and sneakers and wore a baseball cap.

BuzzFeed News spoke to volunteers at the Herby Ham Activity Center, who accepted donations of two boxes of food, drink and dessert from the Duchess.

"I had no idea who she was.

She just talked as if we had known each other for years," said volunteer Gloria Contreras (40) to the news platform.

Markle, who wore a black mask at the scene, was not recognized.

"She was just really nice," said another volunteer, Georjean Burnell, 46.

"She just walked in with her [security] and started putting ice water in the bucket with us and laying out chips for people who needed a snack before and after the donation." They wouldn't have known who she was until she was gone

You would have thought it was a neighbor.

Also in 2019, Prince Harry (37) and his wife commemorated the victims of the terrorist attack in Christchurch, in which 50 people died and dozens were injured after a gunman opened fire on two mosques.

Nevertheless, there should now be a lot of speculation about what could still be behind the action.

Rumor has it that the Duchess has presidential ambitions.

The focus is currently on the Sussexes anyway, especially since Meghan's father Thomas Markle (77) was hospitalized in London shortly before her trip to the throne jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (96) with a suspected stroke.
