Twelve dear men and women of Jerusalem received the Medal of Honor yesterday (Thursday) on the occasion of Jerusalem Day in an exciting ceremony in the City of David. The decoration was awarded to them by Mayor Moshe Leon and retired judge David Cheshin.
The chosen ones in the decoration are Miriam Ben David, Prof. Moshe Bar-Asher, Daniela Golan, Aryeh Weissman, Chaim Zaken, Rabbi Avraham Israel Gliss, Dr. Yitzhak Lifshitz, Rabbi Eliyahu Medina, the late Judge Miriam Naor, Adv. Yehoshua Kramer, Scroll Ron Feder Amit and Nadim Shiban.

The Yakir Yerushalayim Medal has been awarded since 1967. The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, said at the ceremony: They are the human mosaic that characterizes the uniqueness of the residents of Jerusalem. "
