A 15-year-old Palestinian boy was killed today (Friday) in clashes with the IDF in the village of al-Khader south of Bethlehem, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported this evening. According to the report, the young man, Zaid Ranim, was shot in the neck and back.
Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Ishtia called the incident an "intentional execution," saying that "occupation soldiers continue to hit children's upper bodies in an attempt to kill, and Zayed joined the martyrs' group in a deliberate execution of two shots in the neck and back."
He added that "this is a terrorist act that requires the implementation of international decisions to boycott Israel and ensure that criminals do not escape punishment."
In response to the boy's death, officials in Bethlehem announced that a general strike would be announced tomorrow.
Meanwhile, clashes broke out earlier today with IDF forces in the Palestinian villages of Hawara, Beta, Burka and Beit Dajan, near Nablus. According to Palestinian reports, 28 people were injured by live ammunition and rubber bullets, and more than 150 others were injured by smoke inhalation and gas Tear.
