The Ukraine war is not going the way Putin planned.
An elite force from Russia is said to have been involved in many tactical errors.
Kyiv/Moscow – Russia repeatedly has to accept losses in the Ukraine war.
Now, in a situation report on Twitter, the British secret service reports that a unit of elite soldiers has been involved in several tactical errors since the escalation in the Ukraine conflict.
Accordingly, the "failure" of the elite unit should reflect a general mismanagement of the Russian troops by Vladimir Putin.
The soldiers are airborne troops from Russia, also called WDW.
These are used by parachute jump and helicopter.
As the secret service from Great Britain is now reporting, the 45,000-strong elite force is said to have been involved in several important mistakes in the attack on Ukraine.
This includes the attempted advance on Kyiv via Hostomel airfield in March and the delayed advance around the town of Izium since it was taken by Russia in April.
Russia's Mistakes in Ukraine War: Elite Force Involved in Major Setback
Most recently, the elite soldiers from Russia were involved in the failed crossing of the Siwerskyi Donets river in Ukraine.
Ukrainian units had destroyed a makeshift bridge used by Russian troops.
According to an officer from Ukraine, 1,500 soldiers from Russia were killed, but independent observers spoke of hundreds of deaths.
In any case, the maneuver was seen as a major setback for Russia, and the question now is how it could have happened with elite troops involved.
The Airborne Forces of Russia are considered an elite unit.
Nevertheless, the soldiers in the Ukraine war were involved in several tactical missteps, reports the British secret service.

Putin's mistake in the Ukraine war: loss of elite units from Russia
According to the British secret service, the missteps of the airborne troops reflect strategic mismanagement by Vladimir Putin in the Ukraine war.
The military investments made by the President of Russia over the past 15 years have led to a general imbalance in the armed forces.
The underestimation of the Ukrainian defense and the failure to secure the airspace over Ukraine are also results of this.
Russia's mistakes in the Ukraine conflict have led to the loss of many elite Russian units.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the British secret service has regularly published situation reports on Twitter.
The focus is often on Russia's losses, since Western secret services are also trying to gain information sovereignty in the Ukraine war.
Nevertheless, the reports are numerous and consistent, so it can be assumed that the invasion is not going as planned by Putin.
