People who have received two or three doses of the World Health Organization (WHO)-approved novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) vaccine within 14 to 180 days are exempt from quarantine.
Citizens of general countries and regions (Level 1) include Hong Kong and Macau.
People can apply for a short-term visitor visa for the purpose of tourism, business activities, family visits, convalescence and conferences, with a maximum stay of 90 days in the local area.
The visa is valid for 3 months and is for single entry only.
According to the "Notice on Visa Application Service" issued by the Korean Consulate General in Hong Kong dated May 25, the daily limit for the number of entry visa applicants is 30.
Only 10 people are allowed to wait at the visa department each day to prevent the spread of the virus.
Applicants should fill in the electronic form in English or Korean on the website of the Korean Consulate General in Hong Kong and submit it.
Applicants should submit the remaining required documents to the Korean Consulate General in Hong Kong within 2 weeks after the successful submission of the form, and pay a fee of HK$320.
It must be noted that applicants must be present in person, and applications cannot be made by appointment.
This arrangement applies to HKSAR passport, British National (Overseas) passport (BNO) and Macau SAR passport holders.
