The Russian Embassy in Washington affirmed that the United States of America is undermining the global system of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, calling on the Americans to adopt a mutually beneficial professional dialogue approach in this field and not to use specialized platforms in the field of arms control to settle political scores.

We call on the American side to return to a mutually beneficial professional dialogue in the field of prohibition of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction".
The statement indicated that it is the United States, through its actions, that is undermining the global system of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, stressing that the Russian Defense Ministry has compelling evidence that Washington has established a network of military biological laboratories on the territory of Ukraine.
The statement pointed out that the implementation of projects sensitive in terms of the risk of biological agents falling into the hands of non-state actors could lead to serious consequences not only for one region but also for global security in general.
