The “16” bag, Heidi Slimane's first creation for Celine, was baptized in reference to the address of the CELINE Couture House at 16, rue Vivienne in Paris.
It is inspired by classic lines and its short flap is typical of bags from the sixties.

The Nile crocodile skin, recognizable by its large oval scales, comes from a certified supplier.
According to a centuries-old gesture specific to each tailor equipped with the appropriate instruments, the different cuts are traditionally polished with an agate stone in order to preserve the transparency and shine of the skin.

Each leather craftsman makes the bag from A to Z, from the choice of skins to saddlery assembly, including the delicate exercise of assembly.
The handles are hand-stitched with a saddle stitch.
