Teresa Rodríguez, leader of Anticapitalistas and candidate for Adelante Andalucía, has been calling for a "non-aggression pact" between the left-wing forces for months for the Andalusian election campaign on June 19.

But two minutes before 12 noon today, the end of the stipulated legal deadline, the Por Andalucía coalition has filed an appeal with the Andalusian Electoral Board against the RTVA (Canal Sur) coverage plan that provides for Rodríguez's participation in the two scheduled debates with the other five candidates for the presidency of the Board and an interview during prime time.

The final decision is in the hands of the electoral referee.

For Andalusia (the political coalition to which Izquierda Unida, Podemos, Más País, Equo, Alianza Verde and the Andalusian People's Initiative belong) considers that "the inclusion of the coalition's candidate in the two electoral debates for all of Andalusia is a violation indisputable principle of equality, neutrality and proportionality.

Imposing her presence for the sake of political plurality is precisely contrary to her, and implies partiality and unequal treatment”.

It also questions “the criteria outlined by the RTVA, in addition to being contrary to the doctrine of the Central Electoral Board (JEC), lack the objectivity and rigor necessary to incorporate an extra-parliamentary force into a television debate, not even deserving of the status of significant political group.

The writers of the resource are based on the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG) and on the doctrine of the JEC to conclude that the formation headed by Rodríguez “is not even a representative political formation (those that in the previous equivalent elections obtained parliamentary representation );

nor does it fit into the category of "significant political groups" (those that in subsequent electoral processes, in the territorial area affected by the news coverage, obtained a result equal to or greater than 5% of the valid votes cast).

Rodríguez has until Monday the 30th to submit allegations. A day later, the parties can submit appeals to the coverage plan designed by RTVE, which was later registered with the Andalusian Electoral Board.

The state public broadcaster has also scheduled the presence of the Adelante candidate in a debate with the PP candidates (Juan Manuel Moreno), PSOE (Juan Espadas), Ciudadanos (Juan Marín), Por Andalucía (Inmaculada Nieto) and Vox (Macarena Olona).

For Andalusia, he plans to resort to it as well.

According to sources from the Electoral Board, the four magistrates and the three law professors that make up this body will make a final decision next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Adelante Andalucía was presented in the December 2018 elections, but its new members are different from those who attended on that date, although they continue to use the same name.

In fact, the Andalusian Electoral Board left Rodríguez's members without an advance payment of public funds because they understood that the 17 deputies who obtained the Adelante mark three and a half years ago, 12 were from Podemos and five from Izquierda Unida.

Those dozen deputies were expelled from Podemos and, later, declared defectors.

Lugo became, after an express reform of the Regulations of the Andalusian Parliament, unassigned deputies.

The decision is appealed before the Constitutional Court.

Rodríguez has affirmed about the decision of his former partners: “Whoever wants to exclude us from Andalusia from the debates and from the free and informative spaces would be a clear commitment to remove from the game board one of the leftist forces that have possibilities clear to obtain representation in the next legislature and, therefore, a favor towards the right and extreme right”.

He has also reproached his former colleagues: "There are two ways to build unity, one is by respecting plurality and the other by wanting to do away with everything else and remaining one alone."

In addition to Por Andalucía, the Andaluces Levantaos coalition has also raised its demands before the Electoral Board, but in this case they do not question Rodríguez's presence in the debates, but rather that his candidate for the Andalusian Government, Modesto González, is not present.

Likewise, Vox has resorted to the plans of Canal Sur and RTVE because it considers that its candidate is "at a clear disadvantage."
