There were many beaming faces when the high school grades were announced at the Neufahrner Gymnasium.

Only a handful of students have to go to “overtime”.

Neufahrn

- With Daniela Gelic from Eching and Angeline Greiner from Neufahrn, the Oskar-Maria-Graf-Gymnasium celebrates the dream grade of 1.0 twice.

They are followed by a trio with an average grade of 1.2 – consisting of Nadine Rappert (Neufahrn), Martin Dietrich (Eching) and Timo Klesy (Neufahrn).

A proud eleven students managed a 1.3 - which is a pretty presentable result in the top of the 93 high school graduates.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Headmaster Stefan Bäumel is optimistic that two more students will join the trio with the 1.2 average after the oral exams.

In principle, the Rector is satisfied with the year and emphasizes that the students did an impressive job even during the difficult preparation period of two years of the Corona pandemic.

The results of the announcement of grades are also a good testimony for the teachers and upper school coordinator Arne Turkowski, who gave the young people a lot of help on their way to the Abitur.

Will the singer of the school band be a special guest in the future?

And what are the young ladies and gentlemen up to now?

After a few weeks of vacation, Daniela Gelic would like to apply to study in Munich in the fall.

Earth sciences or law are her favorites.

At the same time, the talented musician wants to continue pursuing this hobby.

After graduating with 1.0, the Oskar-Maria-Graf-Gymnasium also loses the singer of the school band with Gelic.

Rector Stefan Bäume is hoping that the 17-year-old will still attend school in the future and support the band as a "special guest".

Now it's time to travel across Europe

The new driver Angeline Greiner also got the 1.0 in black and white.

The enthusiastic dancer also sang in the choir and thus represents another musical loss for the school family. She is now looking forward to a trip to Europe, after which she will take the next step in her life with a law degree.

"I'm very interested in international law," says the student.

By the way, she also gives the OMG a good reference when she leaves – for the two difficult years with distance learning and improvisation: “We were very lucky in this school.

Digitization was already well advanced before the pandemic – and we benefited greatly from that.”
