Starnberg-Percha – A 19-year-old cyclist was checked in Percha around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday because he was driving in the dark without lights and in wavy lines.
According to the police, the officers noticed the smell of alcohol on the cyclist.
A voluntary breath alcohol test revealed a value above the alcohol limit for cyclists of 1.6 per thousand.
As a cyclist, however, you are already liable to prosecution from 0.3 per mille if symptoms of failure, such as here a serpentine ride, are detected at the same time.
That was the case with the driver.
The same applies to drivers of motor vehicles.

The onward journey by bicycle was stopped and a doctor took a blood sample in the hospital.
The Starnberger is now being investigated for drunk driving.
