Member of the Main Council of the Military and Civil Administration of the Zaporozhye region Vladimir Rogov considered it appropriate to transfer the Ukrainian military bases stationed in the region to the authority of Russia.
According to the RIA Novosti agency, Rogov said: "I am fully convinced that the permanent presence of the Russian army should be a guarantee of the security of the Zaporozhye region, and this will give us understanding, calm and security guarantees."
It is noteworthy that during the Russian special military operation to protect Donbass, the Russian army took control of the Kherson region and parts of Zaporozhye province in southern Ukraine, civil-military administrations were formed in those regions, Russian television channels and radio stations began broadcasting, and trade relations between these regions and the Russian Crimea were restored.
