Kyiv - At the beginning of the escalated Ukraine conflict, there was still public talk of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

When the atrocities in the Kiev suburb of Bucha, which are attributed to Russia, became known, the negotiations were officially suspended, and nothing more was known of further talks in public.

For the Ukrainian negotiator Mykhailo Podolyak, a negotiated solution with Russia under Vladimir Putin is still not in sight.

He wrote this on his Telegram channel on Saturday.

"Sometimes some of our partners ask the question: shouldn't we try to negotiate with Russia at the negotiating table?" Podolyak wrote on Saturday morning.

And further: "This proposal is based on the hypothesis that it is like in business conflicts: you can agree on compromises, resolve the dispute and return to your old life."

According to its chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky, Russia was ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine in mid-May.

The ball is in the field of Ukraine, at whose instigation the talks were suspended.

"Russia has never refused negotiations," Medinsky said.

Ukraine-Russia: Ukraine's chief negotiator - "All agreements are not worth a penny"

"I will answer directly," writes Podolyak then.

"This is a catastrophic deception resulting from a misunderstanding of the nature of this war and its true motives.

Which leads to terrible consequences for the whole world.” On Saturday morning, Russia announced that it had achieved a strategic goal in Ukraine.

“All agreements with Russia are not worth a penny.

Is it possible to negotiate with a country that always lies cynically and propagandistically?” Podolyak believes.

Russia has shown its true colors and proved that it is a barbaric country that threatens world security.

"A barbarian can only be stopped by force.

And only together.

And we have to do that for the sake of our children.

So open, pure, progressive, smiling at the world.

Otherwise… very dark times await the world.”

Ukraine-Russia negotiations: Podolyak speaks of the victorious final

“Ukraine will fight with Russia until the victorious final.

We have no other options,” says the Ukrainian negotiator.

He apparently warns other states not to hesitate on their part - otherwise a bad scenario threatens: "If the West trembles again, once again revealing its deep fear of the Russian monstrosity, Europe, the world as a whole, expects a new bloody redistribution of borders, chaos , waves of refugees, hunger, new security rules.”

"Russia will make every inhabitant of Europe poorer, conjure up severe famine in Asia and Africa and trigger new territorial conflicts." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj only asked for direct talks with Vladimir Putin on Friday - we want to regain life, Zelenskyj said .
