"We were sitting next to the car. I took the middle child for a moment to the gas station toilet. The thief probably noticed I was not near the vehicle. When I returned I saw someone moving the vehicle" the father recounted the moments of horror in which his one and a half year old son was stolen along with the car. He gave gas and I fell "

A vehicle carrying a one-and-a-half-year-old baby was stolen from the gas station on Route 6 heading south, near Rosh HaAyin and near Wadi Ara.

The baby's father, who was in the vehicle when it was stolen, told police investigators that "we returned from a trip and stopped at the gas station to freshen up. The baby fell asleep so we left him in the vehicle with the air conditioner on. We sat next to the car. "That I was not near the vehicle. When I returned I saw someone moving the vehicle. At first I thought it was my brother-in-law. When I realized it was not my brother-in-law I tried to stop him. He gave gas and I fell. It was scary, I thought the child was gone."

Police forces were called to the scene and the Central District Police Chief activated all technological means, in order to locate the location of the vehicle and the direction of traffic, along with deploying checkpoints accordingly.

Upon receiving the indication that the vehicle was inside the authority's areas (Area A), a request was submitted for the assistance of the Menashe Police Station, until the vehicle containing the baby was located.

The baby was returned to his parents when he was healthy and intact and the car theft investigation was handed over to the police in the Menashe area.
