"Total pressure": Heidi Klum wanted to completely change Ana Martinovic at GNTM

Ana Martinovic finished ninth at GNTM in 2021.
But for the success in the casting show, the business administration student had to change a lot.
In an interview with Ippen.Media, the model talks about "Germany's next top model" and the pressure she felt at the time.
Munich – In the 16th season of GNTM (all news on the topic page), Ana Martinovic was quickly labeled as "the sweet mouse".
She always had a smile on her face, but she always seemed somehow fragile and insecure.
Not only once did the beauty shed tears.
Also because Heidi Klum asked a lot of her.

Heidi Klum put pressure on Ana Martinovic: she should become more self-confident
Because Heidi Klum wanted to turn the shy, sweet Ana into a strong, self-confident woman.
The model mom repeatedly criticized that Ana seemed too kind to GNTM.
The 48-year-old wished for “more pepper”.
But there wasn't much time for the aspiring model to develop further.
After all, filming only lasted a few weeks.
Ana put additional pressure on herself.
"I would have done anything to win," she admits in an interview with Ippen.Media.
She took Heidi Klum's criticism very seriously.
The GNTM candidate also had to change a lot visually.
Her dark mane was dyed blonde during the makeover.
"For me, Ana seems a bit like the innocence of the country.
With a new look, I want to turn dear, sweet Ana into a breathtaking model, "Heidi explained her decision at the time (these are the most striking makeovers since the first season of GNTM).

Wasn't the criticism of Ana's person justified?
Ana could not quite implement what Heidi Klum asked of her, which is why she had to leave GNTM in ninth place.
“I was under total pressure on site.
I had a hard time becoming more confident.
At the time, I didn't quite understand it either, I just thought, 'Do everything you can to get ahead',"
says the Nersinger.
In retrospect, she sees the situation a little differently: "You can't change me, especially not in such a short time!" The wording in particular bothers her now: "You should actually be what you want or what you are.
And then I'm the sweet one, but I'm not supposed to be the sweet one.
It would have been better if they said, 'Be cute but be confident at the right moments.'”
GNTM candidate Ana Martinovic has finally achieved her goal
Today the 21-year-old wished she had just said: "Hey, that's not possible!" But she also knows that she probably wouldn't dare to do that in front of Heidi Klum.
A year after GNTM, Ana has finally achieved her goal: "I've matured a lot in a short time and have become more self-confident and secure!" In addition to her business administration studies, she works successfully as a model.

She has always been sensitive, just like her mom and grandma.
"As soon as I wasn't perfect, I could cry," admits Ana.
But today she can control her tears better.
"Before, I was just like a child and now I've grown up," says Ana proudly.
She would still take part in the casting show at any time: "My heart beats for GNTM!

According to GNTM, Lieselotte already has TV offers
Shortly before this year's final, Lieselotte had to leave GNTM.
But the 66-year-old takes the exit calmly.
In an interview with Ippen.Media, Lieselotte reveals: "Jungle camp has already reported".
