The Arabic language is one of the oldest and most authentic languages in the world, as it has maintained its strength and presence and is still considered one of the most important elements for the protection of our ancient Arab heritage.
Instructor of the Arabic language in the Directorate of Education in the countryside of Damascus, Adel Hajeez, pointed out in the symposium entitled (The Role of the Arabic Language in the Protection of Heritage) that the protection of the Arabic language is a protection for our cultural presence and our authentic personality, stressing the importance of the cooperation of schools and families in strengthening the language, especially in light of the spread of social media. .
The director of the cultural station in Al-Kiswah, Muhammad Khair Sakhr, stressed that the Arabic language is the link between the people of the nation, and it is the mirror of heritage that must be preserved, protected and transmitted to future generations faithfully through school curricula, research, and publications.
And the Director of Rural Damascus Culture, Ibrahim Al-Saeed, stated that heritage is the evidence of the existence of peoples and their affiliation to their land and civilization, and it is the carrier of the values, customs and folktales of societal peoples, stressing that the Arabic language contributed to preserving this heritage and protecting it from extinction.
A number of attendees also made various interventions emphasizing the importance of the Arabic language in protecting heritage, which is one of the important foundations in the personality of the nation.
