Damascus-SANA

In the era of speed and technology, the recipient is no longer interested in reading lengths and fillings and details, but rather has become more willing to reach the roads from the shortest doors, which necessitated the emergence of the phenomenon of so-called short literature according to the opinion of specialists.

In an interview with SANA, the narrator Ali Al-Ra’i explained that brief literature is not new. The term may be the new one, but as short texts, they have been known since the Greek era, when Isobo wrote parables and stories that belong to this genre. Perhaps Isobo was the first to belong to this literature.

Shepherd pointed out that Hemingway in the middle of the twentieth century wrote the short story “The Shoe Story” for the first time, and it was less than 25 words. Wealth.” Kahlil Gibran also wrote short texts.

Al-Ra’i indicated that the term “QQC” came in the nineties by a group of enthusiastic writers, including Youssef Hatini and Imad Naddaf, and they set conditions for this type. Perhaps this fatal mistake they made, according to his opinion, was because they set conditions for a genre of literature that has not yet crystallized.

He explained that there are common features between various types of brief literature, such as scenery and modern techniques in rhetoric, including concealment, erasure, displacement and coding, so it is difficult to distinguish sometimes between a very short story and a poetic flash.

Al-Rahi also pointed out that the author of the term “brief literature” is the Lebanese writer Amin Al-Deeb, and he launched it from Syria when he was hosted in the “Very Short Story” forum, pointing out that he disagreed with him “because he considered short literature as an independent literary genre and we considered it as a framework for a group of literature.”

Al-Rahi explained that short literature has today become a trend of culture not in Syria but in the Arab world as a whole, written by great poets and writers, and many poets tend to it, pointing out that the aphorisms are not short literature because they do not carry the elements of scenery, narrative and poetry, unlike the short story and the flash poem, which belong to literature because Those elements in it as the flash and the signature are related to time.

Al-Rai also indicated that haiku poetry is no longer limited to the Japanese, although the Japanese Basho is the founder, explaining that the Syrians were pioneers in this field, the first of them being the poet Muhammad Udayma and then Abdo Zarzour, who translated haiku poetry into Spanish, German, Arabic and others, and this genre has spread globally to become equivalent to all places. .

The shepherd considered that the haiku can only be Japanese because it has harsh conditions that do not apply to all cultures, but there are equations or approaches that make each country its own haiku. .. I am at the end of the street, “As for the Arabic language, literature cannot be presented without metaphor, for example..” And I say as long as you are freed from the cages of Hebron, what takes you to the cages of Basho?

Al-Rahi pointed out to his management of more than 23 events for the Forum of Narrative Texts in most of the governorates, and in the matter of accepting the participating texts, he grabs the stick from the middle because he is trying to present something beautiful in the face of this devastation that is sweeping our world, as he put it, pointing out that the launch of brief literature has taken its legitimacy in Lebanon and Tunisia today. He studies in Lebanese universities and there is an experience of poets Amin Deeb, Lara Malak and Tamara El Deeb in it.

Ali al-Ra’i, who tends to short stories and to condensation and poetic flashes, has published a collection entitled “Crossing Thresholds with Two Feet of Wind” that mixes story and poetic text, in addition to another collection entitled “The Water of Grapes in the August of the Grapes” bearing the same climates, and they are monthly texts.

The shepherd concludes his meeting by saying that in poetry he is fond of enough metaphors that resemble our lives, so there is no certainty in the state of our unfinished dreams.
