Almost record-breakingly early, evil tongues would now like to pronounce, that the Wartenberg budget has been adopted as a statute.

In the previous year it had lasted almost until the end of the year.

The situation back then was even more tricky, now Mayor Christian Pröbst (CSU) and Treasurer Tanja Göbl are optimistic that the district office will soon give the green light.

Criticism was once again voiced in the municipal council.

Wartenberg - The budget closes in the administrative budget in income and expenditure with almost 14.07 million euros, in the asset budget with a good 9.84 million euros.

"The budget is well processed," said Pröbst with a smile in the direction of Göbl.

“It was a bit easier this year, but we don't have any leeway.

Our hands are tied,” emphasized Pröbst.

However, investments such as the renovation of Strogenstraße or the house for children and the expansion of the school simply have to be made.

Michael Paulini (SPD) renewed his criticisms from the previous meeting (we reported) and stated that Wartenberg had dropped from fourth place to midfield in the district.

By 2025, the debt would triple to 19 million euros.

Paulini spoke of a “chronic underfunding.

We will never get out of the spiral."

Every normal builder makes a savings plan.

But: “We drive to the wall with open visors.

I don't know where we should generate the income."

"When the school was built 50 years ago, it probably wasn't any better," said Pröbst.

Eduard Ertl (Neue Mitte) also had little understanding for Paulini's criticism.

He's very surprised.

Ertl couldn't resist the dig that Paulini recently wanted to suspend the increase in daycare fees for another year (we reported).

Ertl said that no one on the committee would advocate unnecessary spending.

But you have fixed expenses.

Simply issuing administrative staff to save is not possible.

"And you can't change what wages and sales tax goes to the municipalities," said Ertl.

The war could not have been foreseen either.

"Please, Michael, then tell us where we should save", Ertl told Paulini.

“We are exemplary when it comes to trade tax,” reported Pröbst from private regarding the allocation of land in the commercial area.

Here it is your turn to only choose companies that pay adequately.

“We have to generate revenue by acting wisely.

Otherwise everything will be broken for future generations,” said Josef Sedlmaier (CSU).

Dominik Rutz (Greens) criticized the fact that the feasibility study for the school had not yet been presented to the council - given the high numbers that had to be voted on in the budget.

However, Pröbst only wants to make the presentation when he has hard-and-fast figures on the grants.

According to him, the four mayors will discuss the study before the summer, "I can't yet say whether it will work in the municipal council by then," says Pröbst.

The financial plan passed with four and the budget statute with five dissenting votes.
