Construction site lasting several months: obstructions on the district road M1

There will be obstructions on the M1 district road in the coming months.
A roundabout and a footpath and cycle path are being built in Kirchheim.
Kirchheim – A new roundabout and a new footpath and cycle path are being built on the M 1 district road in Kirchheim.
The construction work will take place in several construction phases and lead to road closures.
The district office announced that construction would take place between May 30 and December 16 at the latest.
1st construction phase:
Construction of the roundabout on the north side and in Weißenfelder Straße Süd from May 30th, 2022. The first construction phase for the construction of the roundabout begins on Monday, May 30th.
The district road M 1 remains passable with two lanes for oncoming traffic.
Weißenfelder Straße Nord with the entrances and exits to the commercial area will be completely closed for the work.
Traffic coming from Weißenfelder Straße and from Weißenfelder Straße will be diverted via Feldkirchner Straße and Ammerthalstraße.
Weißenfelder Straße Süd (towards Ammerthal) will also be closed.
Traffic to and from Weißenfeld and Ammerthal will be diverted to Weißenfeld via the M1 district road and Weißenfelder Straße (M18 district road).
Access to Ammerthal is only possible from Weißenfeld.
The cycle path along the M1 district road to and from Poing will also be closed.
A diversion will be signposted for cyclists via the Heimstetten commercial area.
2nd construction phase:
Construction of the roundabout on the south side from around August 22: In the 2nd construction phase, district road M 1 will be closed on one side and traffic will be controlled by construction site lights.
The junctions with Weissenfelder Strasse North and South will remain completely closed during this work.
Separate information will be provided for the further construction phases, in particular the construction of the cycle path on the district road.
