Edmund Stoiber, has been loyal to him for 50 years.
Geretsried – The CSU local association held its annual meeting in the council chambers on Wednesday evening in a hurry.
Formalities such as the election of the delegates who will elect the constituency candidate for the state parliament and honoring long-standing members were on the agenda.

According to the chairman Martin Huber, the Geretsrieder local association currently has 126 members.
That's eleven fewer than a year ago, two of whom have died.
The others did not give any personal dissatisfaction with the party or the local branch as a reason for leaving, but mostly moving to another city, as Huber explained.

After the poor performance of the Christian Socialists in the federal elections, it is now important to mobilize all forces for the state elections in 2023. Third Mayor Gerhard Meinl said that the delegates would play an important role.
The candidate they put into the race must be capable of “strategic leadership”.

Sabine Gus-Mayer, Michael Müller, Ewald Kailberth, Gerhard Meinl, Franz Wirtensohn, Martin Huber, Andreas Rottmüller and Gerhard Knill.

Among the honorees for long-standing party membership was ex-Prime Minister Dr.
Edmund Stoiber.
However, the man from Wolfratshausen could not personally accept the certificate and the pin for 50 years from the local boss Martin Huber because he was attending a board meeting of FC Bayern on Wednesday evening.
Werner Bauer has also been loyal to the CSU for half a century.
Only Walter Weber, aged 60, has been there longer (he was also absent with an apology).
