The Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, confirmed that the diploma program (professional export) contributes to strengthening the capabilities of human cadres from various sectors in the field of export according to a scientific method based on knowledge, market studies, and the selection of appropriate products capable of competing in foreign markets and sustainability.
Al-Khalil indicated in a speech during the graduation of the first three batches of the program today at the media center in the new exhibition city in Damascus that the program aims to enhance the entry of private companies into the export process because Syrian companies depend in large part in their export on shipping offices, pointing out that government work is integrated with the private sector. in developing the export process.
Al-Khalil indicated that export constitutes a great opportunity for all establishments and producers to dispose of their products, whether they are surplus or mainly destined for export, especially in the circumstances of the terrorist war on Syria and the economic blockade.
The program benefited 64 participants from Dummar Central Incubator for Craft Arts, industrial and commercial companies, and owners of small and micro enterprises from the public and private sectors, who received training in the field of export over a period of 200 hours for a period of 4 months.
Director of the Local Production and Exports Support and Development Authority, Thaer Fayyad, indicated that the professional export diploma program was launched last June and includes an explanation of the export process to help traders and industrialists move from spontaneous export to organized export in addition to axes on international marketing strategies and pricing mechanisms and introducing the laws governing the export process In Syria and neighboring countries, customs clearance and rules of origin are supervised by specialists in management, economics and law, pointing out that training courses on the diploma program will be organized in a number of governorates.
The Secretary of the Dummar Central Incubator's Incubator Secretary for Craft Arts, Adnan Tanbakji, pointed out the importance of artisans gaining experience to support the export of their products and knowing the target market for each craft, calling for the adoption of a special code for each incubator's product (barcode).
The Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Syrian Marketing Association, Muhammad Al-Khatib, drew attention to the need for training programs dedicated to some professions and businesses in the industrial sector, noting the axes on which the Professional Export Diploma Program focused, in addition to providing an appropriate opportunity for training at nominal prices.
For his part, the trainer in the specialized diploma in management science, Dr. Hisham Khayat, indicated that the training process on which the diploma program was built took into account the provision of knowledge of the foundations of export, determining the relative and competitive advantages of Syrian products, the characteristics of the international market, and skills and knowledge tools to put the national product on the map of international interest.
Trainee Louay Al-Khan presented a graduation project entitled (The National Strategy for the Development of Non-Oil Exports during the Years 2023 to 2026 and the Impact of Digital Transformation in Supporting this Strategy), pointing to the scientific and professional benefit of the Export Diploma in teaching a set of tools and knowledge experiences.
Certificates were distributed to the graduates and certificates of appreciation to the trainers.
