Senior sources told the Arab newspaper "Rai al-Yom" that the mediators held talks with Israeli officials • Egypt received threats from terrorist organizations that they would respond immediately to the march

Israel has refused demands from Qatar and Egypt to change the route of the flags in Jerusalem, the inter-Arab newspaper "Rai al-Yom" reported today (Saturday).

As you may recall, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced yesterday that the parade will also pass through the Nablus Gate and its course will not change, despite the threats of the terrorist organizations.

According to the report, Arab and international sources held talks with the Israeli side about what was defined as the "danger" that the parade is expected to provoke tomorrow in Jerusalem.

It was further alleged that the sources tried to persuade Israel to change the course of the march in light of threats from the Palestinians to respond.

The Arab newspaper learned from senior sources that Egypt and Qatar play an important role in this issue, and have been in contact with senior Israeli officials in recent hours.

This is to prevent "provocation of the Palestinians and the resistance, and to change the course of the parade."

The report states that all contacts have failed and the Israeli side has officially informed Qatar and Egypt that the decision on the route of the flag parade has come from the upper echelons and will not change - no matter what the external pressures, and that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett himself insists.

The sources told "Rai al-Yom" that following the flag parade, disputes arose between Israel and Egypt and the recent contacts between the parties were accompanied by accusations and warnings about the results of the parade.

It was also alleged that Cairo informed Jerusalem that "what was before the parade will not be similar to what followed."

In this context, the sources claimed that Cairo insisted on pressuring Jerusalem because of messages it received from the Palestinian terrorist organizations that they would act immediately and respond to the "provocative move", and Egypt would not be able to do anything at that moment.
