The smallest district of Andechs, Machtlfing, is in a state of emergency.

The fraternity is celebrating its 60th re-establishment festival two years late – hundreds of guests came to the home evening at the start.

The celebration lasts until Sunday.

Machtlfing –

Sebastian Albrecht was pretty excited on Friday.

The head boy of the Machtlfingers has been at the Sontheim farm every day since Monday to prepare the Feststadl and set everything up.

With him 25 active boys and power lfinger girls.

They were already in the middle of the preparations when everything had to be canceled two years ago.

The anticipation is all the greater this year.

Finally the "Kaderschmiede" could celebrate.

That's what Mayor Georg Scheitz calls the association, since most of the former head boys are now officials.

Sebastian Albrecht still has that ahead of him, on Friday he at least passed the acid test with his speech in front of so many people.

The anticipation of the festival was not only great among the boys and the power fingers.

Visitors flocked to the start of Ascension Day from all over the world.

Most, because they had already celebrated the holiday before, came by bus.

Sebastian Albrecht accounted for the free parking space and the fact that the Stadl was still full at the start with betting saws.

28 men's teams registered, six women's teams and a mixed team provided by Mayor Scheitz and his predecessor Anna Neppel.

With 1.56 minutes, the two were in a good midfield, but still far behind the best saws, who sawed off the tree in 33 seconds.

The best boys' team was Thomas Albrecht from Machtlfing and Lukas Frey from Oberalting, the best girls' team was Martina Handelshauser and Magdalena Schmaus from Aschering.

The spectacle attracted around 500 people to the Stadl am Ulrichsbichl – young and old.

Musically accompanied by the Erlingen brass band.

On Friday we continued with "Back to the 90s", a decade when most of the boys were born.

Sebastian Albrecht predicted a short night before the highlight this Saturday, the concert with Lenze & de Buam, for which incidentally there are still tickets at the box office (23 euros).

Up to 1000 people are allowed on the festival site.

After this concert, it's time for the lads to get down to business again, right at night.

The Stadl has to be seated again quickly, because the festive service will take place on the Hubers Bergl on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

600 people are registered for the subsequent procession, six floats - "seven with our bike," says Sebastian Albrecht with a laugh.

He means the legendary 7-seater tandem.
