Val-d'Oise: a doctor violently stabbed by an unstable patient

A doctor was seriously stabbed by a patient on Friday afternoon near the Pointoise hospital in Val-d'Oise, a police source told

The facts took place around 4:30 p.m. in front of the René-Dubos hospital.

While the stomatologist was on break in front of the establishment, the woman attacked her by stabbing her in the back with a knife.

The victim, aged 52, was immediately transported to the emergency room, with a vital prognosis.

Operated on Friday evening, she is no longer in absolute emergency, reports

The alleged perpetrator, a 27-year-old woman suffering from serious psychiatric disorders, was not interned at the time of the attack.

But the two women knew each other, the victim having already received treatment in the psychiatric unit of the hospital.

The respondent was already known to the authorities for possession of category D weapons and degradation in front of the same hospital.

She was arrested early Friday evening at her home and has since been in police custody.
