The UEFA Champions League is the most prestigious soccer club tournament in Europe.

The best teams in search of the Champions Cup are concentrated there.

Currently, there is only one king who stands alone at the top of the champions, Real Madrid of Spain.

The first time this competition was played was in the 1955/56 season, after UEFA decided to organize a tournament between European clubs called the European Cup, according to the Alma de Futuro Association.

It was not until the 1992-93 campaign that the tournament changed its name to the UEFA Champions League, as it is currently known.

The white entity was the first to win the European Cup in 1956. The meringues have won six European Cups and seven Champions League throughout history.

In total, they add 13 'orejonas' in their showcase of the 16 they played.

The white team is the team that has won the most titles after having achieved it in 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Spain, meanwhile, is the country that has won the Champions League the most times with 18 titles, 5 from Barcelona and 13 from Real Madrid, according to data from the UEFA website.

However, on 24 occasions a Spanish team has played in the Champions League final.

In the current edition, a third team may be added to the history of the Champions League.

If Villarreal manages to beat Liverpool in the semifinals, the yellow submarine will play the final of the European competition for the first time.
