The fugitive hits a car and is forced to abandon his vehicle.
He and his passenger then get out of the damaged car and flee on foot with the police on their heels.
The crew first caught up with the passenger, at the intersection of the quai de Gesvres and the Notre-Dame bridge, and took aim at him.
The latter surrenders.
During this time, the driver continues his race.
The man will also be arrested a little later.

The police then returned to the victim, who was taken care of by the firefighters.

“This drama is terrible”, reacts Ariel Weil, the mayor (PS) of Paris Center, who was informed of this fatal accident overnight.
