The Erdinger CSU has a new honorary chairman.

Lord Mayor Max Gotz was delighted to receive this award at the annual general meeting, which was given to him for his many years of service as chairman of the local association and as mayor.

Erding - On the part of the board and the members present at the Lindenwirt in Bergham, there were unanimous resolutions for the award.

Today's local chapter chair Janine Krzizok confirmed that Gotz has shaped her political career since she joined the party in 2006: "This award is simply necessary, there was approval within a few seconds."

Cultural advisor Ludwig Kirmair, a long-standing companion, then held the laudatory speech.

When he himself joined the CSU, there were still three local chapters within Erding: "The meaningful association followed in 1993, and when Gotz became chairman in 1995, he made sure that the boundaries continued to soften." In the 26 years under the chairmanship of Max Gotz, there was a very successful time for the CSU and the city of Erding.

The mayor always acted with foresight.

In his first attempts to become mayor, he failed.

Kirmair recalled: "In 2002 he was also prevented from becoming second mayor, but this enabled him to position himself much better as group spokesman." At the same time he was elected deputy district administrator, and six years later it finally worked out in the mayoral elections.

In 2013 he became mayor.

Another great strength of Gotz is that he can approach people: "Thanks to him, many people have come to us, we are one of the strongest local associations in terms of members."

For the interests of the city, Gotz was always able to organize majorities outside of the CSU and initiated a lot: "All his projects would feed more than a whole evening." Gotz is the locomotive that "pulled us along for the benefit of the citizens," said Kirmair.

The honoree confirmed that he was "extremely proud" of this award: "The local association is close to my heart, that motivates me even more for the future." The trust of the members has always supported him in the past: " Even if I made a mistake, everyone always had my back.”

In addition to this award, numerous long-standing members were honored at the Annual General Meeting.
