Mong Kok Murder Case | 3 men, 1 woman charged with murder and 1 man charged with conspiracy to wound with intent

A murder case occurred on Portland Street in Mong Kok the day before yesterday (27th).

Police launched an investigation and arrested 6 people. Today (29th), 3 men and 1 woman, aged between 20 and 37, were charged with a total of one count of murder and another 30-year-old man with conspiracy intent. crime of wounding.

The case will appear in the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (30th) morning.

The remaining 34-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting a criminal has been released on bail pending investigation and must report to the police in late June.

The incident happened at 0:00 a.m. the day before yesterday. The deceased man and the injured woman went to a gambling venue at 299 Portland Street. They had a dispute with two murderers over money.

A few minutes later, the other eight assailants arrived at the scene in two private cars. After entering the site, they attacked the two with knives and hard objects.

The female wounded then called the police, and the ambulance took them to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the male deceased suffered multiple stab wounds and was confirmed dead at 1:47 in the morning.

A few hours after the incident, detectives arrested a 37-year-old main male perpetrator on murder charges in a unit in Mong Kok. In the afternoon and evening of the same day, they arrested two more men in Sham Shui Po, the airport and Mong Kok district respectively. Two women (aged between 20 and 34), three of them were charged with murder, and the other woman was charged with assisting a criminal.

As of yesterday (28th), another 34-year-old male perpetrator was arrested in the Mong Kok district.
