Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
Today, the Israeli occupation forces and groups of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Palestinian Ma'an News Agency stated that the occupation forces stormed the mosque at dawn today and surrounded the Palestinians stationed inside the tribal prayer hall and closed its doors with iron chains in preparation for securing the settlers' incursions into the mosque.
At about seven in the morning, the settlers, who gathered in their hundreds at the Mughrabi Gate, began storming Al-Aqsa in the form of groups, heavily guarded by the occupation forces, which set up a barrier in the Old City of Jerusalem to prevent Palestinians from reaching Al-Aqsa.
The Palestinian national forces called for Rabat in Al-Aqsa to thwart the settlers' attempts to storm it in large numbers.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry had warned in a statement yesterday that the settlers’ calls to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque are part of the occupation’s plans to Judaize the Temple Mount and the city of Jerusalem to complete the annexation plans and undermine any opportunity to establish a Palestinian state, calling for urgent international action to stop the violations of the occupation.
