A Palestinian resident of the Wadi Jouz neighborhood in East Jerusalem was the target of an attempted lynching by a group of young Palestinians, after they suspected that he was passing information and photos from the events in al-Aqsa to Israeli sources.
According to the documentation, the young men violently attacked him and accused him of "alleged cooperation" with Israel.
He was constantly attacked in the head and face, shouting insults at him, "traitor, spy."
The group of young men continued to beat him cruelly until bloodshed, confiscated his cell phone, and published the mask of correspondence he allegedly had with an unknown source in which it was alleged that he provided information about what was happening in Al-Qaeda.
The attacked resident for his part denied the allegations attributed to him, and after being apprehended by the attackers claimed that he was in contact with a person with whom he was working.
A few hours after the incident, his family members issued a statement saying they were distancing themselves from his actions.
"History has witnessed our struggle and the struggle with us to serve the nation. How many martyrs and how many prisoners we have sacrificed to our dear homeland. We, the family, condemn this shameful and cowardly act. Let him be ashamed. In the name of the family we renounce it."
