President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, paid a quick visit Sunday to Yuvaldi, Texas, just days after a local resident shot dead 19 students and two teachers at a local elementary school.
After meeting with Governor Greg Abbott, Biden arrived at the school and laid flowers with his wife on the makeshift monument they had erected nearby, while talking to the principal and district superintendent.
He then proceeded to a special Mass at a nearby Catholic church and met with bereaved families.
Biden and his wife stood in front of the monument, where 21 crosses were placed, one in memory of each victim, and placed white flowers on top of the other flowers that were.
The first lady even got her hands on the pictures of the murdered that were placed at the place next to Giladim that were set up for each of the fourth-graders who were murdered.
The visit to the southern town takes place about two weeks after he visited Buffalo, New York, where he comforted the black community after a racist shooter shot dead 10 innocent people at a neighborhood supermarket where he knew there would be many blacks.
The killer even issued a racist statement in which he wanted to warn the world of the desire of non-whites to take over the world.
