In celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Internal Security Forces’ Day and the martyrdom of the Syrian Parliament Garrison on May 29, 1945, the Tartous Governorate Police Command honored the families of the martyrs and wounded security forces in the governorate.
Brigadier General Musa Hasoud Al-Jassem, the provincial police chief, said in a statement to reporters: What the men of the Internal Security Forces presented on this day is a source of pride and honor with which we raise our heads high and teach generations the love of sacrifice.
The Director of the Police School in Tartous, Lieutenant-Colonel Mohsen Rabie, reviewed the events of the twenty-ninth of May 1945, the determination of the Parliament garrison, and their standing in the face of the French colonizer, and the events that led to the outbreak of the Great Syrian Revolution.
The families of the martyrs and the wounded expressed their pride and pride in what their sons offered for the sake of the pride and unity of the homeland, stressing that the honoring is a precious message that carries the meanings of gratitude and thanks for what the people of the country have provided so that we can all enjoy security and peace throughout our beloved country, and another message to preserve the great sacrifices through more solidarity and national unity To preserve the blood of the martyrs and the dignity of the homeland.
The event was attended by the governor of Tartous, lawyer Safwan Abu Saadi, and the secretary of the Tartous branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Muhammad Habib Hussein.
