Tomorrow (Monday), Justice Minister Gideon Saar is expected to introduce a bill to extend the validity of emergency regulations in Judea and Samaria that actually make it possible to apply Israeli criminal law to the residents of Judea and Samaria.
This is a law from 1967, which is regularly approved by a temporary order for 5 years and at the end of June its current validity expires.
Ministers have already approved the extension of regulations in the government and now the law is expected to be put to a vote in the Knesset plenum.
The coalition wants to bring the law up for approval tomorrow, but it is still unclear whether the PM will agree to support the application of Israeli law beyond the Green Line, where they claim there is a military occupation of Israel.
Should the RAAM refuse to support the law, the coalition will need assistance from the opposition where they have currently announced that they oppose any coalition legislation.
Although the coalition has until the end of June to try to formulate a majority for the law, the inability to extend the validity of regulations in Judea and Samaria is dramatic.
