In the Würmtal it's raining top marks - especially for the girls.
Now the Abitur exams are coming to an end.
Würmtal –
The headmasters are satisfied.
Graduates can look forward to it too.
Some still have re-exams this week, but for most, high school is history.
It is striking that the girls in particular did exceptionally well.
A total of five students at the Otto-von-Taube-Gymnasium in Gauting achieved a 1.0.
At the Planegger Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium, four girls achieved an impeccable grade point average of 1.0.
At the Gräfelfingen Kurt-Huber-Gymnasium, three students also got the 1.0.
Boys got nothing.
Great results from the high school graduates
Around 50 percent of the Gräfelfingen students who had already passed their Abitur on Friday, i.e. before the re-examinations that are currently taking place, received a grade of 1.9 or better for their performance, says director Anita Groß.
It's the same in Gauting, reports director Sylke Wischnevsky proudly.
Your colleague from Planegg, Matthias Spohrer, is pleased that around a third of all those who took the exams at his school this year have a one before the decimal point.
Another exciting week
Despite all the joy, Spohrer knows: "This week will be exciting.
A few still have to make sure that they can pass the Abitur via the additional oral exam.” Overall, these are a handful of the 99 students.
111 high school graduates started in Gräfelfing this year.
Even there, the final result is not yet certain.
107 students took their exams in Gauting this year, only one 12th grader has to have his knowledge tested again in the additional oral exam.
"Fair Exams"
After two years of the corona pandemic and school closures, there were special conditions for this Abitur, as in the previous year.
Some areas that are commonly queried have been eliminated.
"And there was a time bonus for the written exams," says Spohrer.
"They weren't free exams, but fair ones," he says.
One of Spohrer's major concerns was that students would fall ill with Corona during the exam period and then have to write it down in July, when everyone was already celebrating.
Now he is relieved: "We did well." Everyone was present at the written exams.
One student got caught during the oral exams, but he recovered a few days later and was able to be examined.
"A little bit of luck is always part of it",
said Spohrer about the Abitur in general - this year this was particularly true due to the pandemic.
Since the current Planegger Abitur class was unable to earn any money for two years due to the pandemic, it was difficult for him to finance his prom.
And he was lucky again: "The municipality of Planegg gave the vintage a helping hand."
