Federal police officers at Munich Central Station had a not-so-everyday mission.

Important questions remain unanswered.

Munich – Bizarre scenes happened on Friday (May 27) at Munich Central Station.

At 10.50 a.m., federal police officers noticed a man who caused a sensation in a lion costume – on an e-scooter.

"Since the man behaved conspicuously when he was spoken to, regardless of his costume, the officers took the lion to the station," says a humorous press release on the incident.

Munich Central Station: a disguised man causes a sensation with an e-scooter

The non-resident man did not explain where he got the e-scooter from, nor did he provide any information about a package attached to the scooter.

Finally, the officials used opened the package.

Six vodka bottles (1.75 liters each) and four bottles of Aperol worth around 550 euros were found.

Investigations led the officials to the owner of the scooter.

He stated that it had been stolen from him the day before, along with the package attached to it.

The scooter owner, a 30-year-old from Munich, works as a waiter in a club in the old town.

That's where he parked his scooter.

When asked, the disco operator was able to confirm the loss of the high-priced alcohol.

“The value of the stolen goods is around 1200 euros.

The responsible public prosecutor decided to bring the man before the magistrate," the federal police said.

Why was the man dressed as a lion?

Munich police continue to investigate

Why the man was disguised has not yet been clarified - as has the origin of the costume.

Further investigations are now being conducted by the Munich police headquarters.
