At the event, Dr. Ruth Kabsa Abramson, the institute's director, unveiled the three projects that the institute is currently leading: a new look at the structure of the work week and an examination of additional options so that Shabbat becomes a day of rest;

Shabbat - National Green Day, reduction in polluting activity during Shabbat;

Shabbat as an opportunity to create social gatherings and social cohesion.

During the conversation, President Herzog said: "Shabbat in my eyes is not a divisive factor as one tends to think, Shabbat is a unique platform that the Jewish people brought into the world through the Bible. Shabbat is a meeting of desires of many forces in the nation One according to his belief. This is a special day of rest that allows food for the soul. The interaction between the various groups in Israeli society is the most significant. It is broader than meets the eye. " "We are all equal in the State of Israel, and only in this way can we become stronger and develop as a people and as a society."

The founder and CEO of the institute, Dr. Ruth Kabsa Abramson, said:

It is time to find the Valley of Equality, and learn together about the social Jewish gospel that the Sabbath has brought with it to the entire world.

Together we will make Shabbat a day of tolerance and connection between us all.

Instead of a rock of controversy - it will be the main barrel, the connecting reactor that binds us together, the place where we take down the walls and become one people. "

Sha'arim's chairman, former commissioner Roni Alsheikh, said: "When I told the president about the institute, I saw the spark in his eyes. The president's house is the most appropriate home to provide an umbrella for the institute's activities. And between man and nature, that's why we chose the House of Peace - the President's House.
