The arrival of the month of June is accompanied by many new features. Le Figaro takes stock of the devices that come into force.

The month of June also marks the launch of new measures that could directly concern you.

What changes from June 1

  • More transparent management fees for the Retirement Savings Plan and life insurance

Very popular with the French, Retirement Savings Plans (PER) and life insurance contracts will experience some improvement in the transparency of their conditions from the first day of the month.

In fact, the distributors will have to display, on their website, all the management fees relating to these two savings products.

A report by the Financial Sector Advisory Committee of July 2021 had already shown that “

information on these fees is not easily accessible on the websites of many establishments, with very fragmented information

”.

The objective is therefore to clearly display the total costs;

elements absolutely necessary for the customer so that the latter has all the information necessary for a better comparison of offers.

These costs will also be listed in a standard table listing the different categories of entry fees, annual and one-off costs that can be found according to the types of contract taken out.

This summary table of the different categories of PER and life insurance is the result of an agreement concluded on February 2, 2022, between the various French producers and distributors of this type of contract, under the aegis of the Ministry of the Economy. .

  • Easy access to home loans for former cancer patients

This is a fundamental advance for people who have overcome cancer or hepatitis C. Five years after their recovery, former patients will now be able to obtain a mortgage, under the same conditions or obligations as the others.

Law No. 2022-270 of February 28, 2022 thus seeks to “

put an end to the unfair discrimination suffered by many mortgage borrowers who have been sick, or are still sick

”, as the Senate had previously pointed out.

This

right to be forgotten

covered, until now, a period of 10 years.

This new provision should be extended, no later than July 31, for new diseases, such as diabetes.

In addition, for all loans of less than €200,000 and for which the repayment term occurs before the future beneficiary of the loan turns 60, the health questionnaire which was previously required of him will be abolished.

In addition, no medical examination can be requested from the insured by the insurer.

Finally, this same law will also open up the possibility, from June 1, of terminating and changing

borrower insurance at “any time

”, and this, “

free of charge

” for new loans, and from September 1 for contracts in progress at that date.

What should change during the month

  • Simplification of procedures surrounding the right to a bank account

People who have requested to open a bank account and who have not received a response within the following 15 days will be able, from June 13, to turn directly to the Banque de France.

A decree dated March 13, 2022 therefore facilitated recourse by individuals - without a deposit account - directly to the country's main banking institution.

The provision of proof of the process undertaken will therefore replace, from this date, the certificate of refusal to open an account produced by the bank concerned;

document often difficult, if not impossible to obtain.

With this new system, the Banque de France will be able to choose the banking establishment located next to the applicant's home or an establishment of its choice.

Once designated, the bank must, within three days, indicate to the applicants all the necessary documents that it must provide in order to open an account.

In the event of refusal, it must inform the Banque de France of the reasons.

  • Beginning of the main admission phase on Parcoursup

From June 2, students will receive the first admission proposals on the Parcoursup portal.

They will have to respond to each of them according to the deadlines indicated on their file.

For students who have not received any proposal for admission, they may, from this date, request individual or collective support in their school.

At the end of this “

main admission

” phase, the “

complementary admission

” phase will open on June 23.

  • End of the extension of the €38 ceiling for meal vouchers

While this was extended last February, the payment ceiling of 38 euros for meal vouchers (Restaurant ticket, Lunch voucher, Restaurant pass, etc.) will end on June 30.

This measure was taken to support a restaurant sector heavily impacted by the health crisis.

The ceiling was previously set at €19.

  • End of online tax declaration for Zone 3 departments

The inhabitants of the departments of Zone 3, i.e. going from the Meuse (55) to Saint

-

Pierre-et-Miquelon (975) have until Wednesday, June 8 to make their tax declaration online.

Zone 2 departments [from Corsica to Meurthe-et-Moselle] have until Tuesday, May 31.
