The world of Netflix may be upside down, but "Stranger Things" is still wildly popular.
The latest season of the acclaimed series debuted this weekend to record numbers, making it the most-watched premiere of an English-language show on Netflix.
When does the second part of season 4 of "Stranger Things" premiere?
The company said "Stranger Things 4 — Volume 1" logged 286.7 million hours watched.
That number tops the second season of "Bridgerton," which reached 193 million hours watched in March.
Netflix added that the premiere was the first season to reach No. 1 in 83 countries, achieving another record.
"Stranger Things 4" also made the top 10 out of 93 countries the company tracks.
This is all good news for Netflix, which is having a terrible year.
The company reported in April that it had lost subscribers for the first time in more than a decade.
The news shocked Wall Street and sent stocks plunging.
It also made investors doubt the future of Netflix, as well as the entire streaming services market.

The "Stranger Things" series, which follows a group of children and adults battling the forces of a parallel universe, is by far Netflix's biggest franchise.
