The Asian Football Confederation announced today that it has opened the door for all member associations to express their interest in hosting the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
After China apologized for hosting the 2023 Asian Cup, the General Assembly of the AFC, during its thirty-second meeting, granted the authority to the administration of the federation to set the conditions and requirements for submitting the nomination files, with the aim of finding an alternative to host the tournament.
After the completion of the file submission process, the administration in the AFC will submit a report on its recommendations to the Executive Office of the Federation, in order to select the new host for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The AFC stated that the deadline for submitting an expression of interest in hosting the 2023 Asian Cup will be the end of next month.
