When the CSU faction leader bursts his collar

Janine Krzizok was proud of "very stable numbers" at the Erdinger CSU local association in her first statement of accounts as chairwoman.

Erding - A total of 438 members still means a strong number.

She started her new job in June 2021 with full motivation, one of the first challenges was the federal election campaign: “We were omnipresent for six weeks.

But people also reminded us that the Union could score with too few issues.”

With many traffic light issues such as cannabis legalization (“the dangers are completely misunderstood”) or citizen income (“It is completely wrong not to sanction people who do not want to work”), a contra of the Union in the government is important.

On site, they want to form working groups for better cooperation with the city council group - on important topics such as education, renewable energies or mobility.

The CSU local association also wants to get to the people with talks in taverns, in which it is quite likely that there will be scolding.

The rising cost of living is an issue to which the party must provide answers.

Treasurer Klaus Stanzel-Deffner spoke about "good financial development".

In 2021 there was a whopping plus of 16,000 euros, the total funds thus increased to 115,000 euros.

The work of the city council group was presented by its spokesman Burkhard Köppen.

At the beginning of the 2020 election period, it was suddenly no longer possible to contact the members directly because of the pandemic: “It hurt a lot, as communicating our activities is a central task.” The CSU is in the committees with five each Representing people: “Unfortunately, we no longer have majorities alone and have to look for them first.” What is new is that at least three factions are now needed: “The others have to prove that they also want to advance Erding.

With the sometimes nonsensical chatter, my collar sometimes bursts.” It's not about personal sensitivities, added Köppen.

"Fortunately, there are two factions that we can talk to very well."

The city is still in good shape thanks to the CSU and above all "Spiritus Rector" Max Gotz: "Erding has over 45 million euros in reserves.

Important points are pending, Burkhard Köppen continued: “The conversion of the air base has development potential for 40 years.

We will continue to fight for the northern bypass.” He asked the members present to imagine what traffic in Altenerding would look like without the southern bypass: “The whole thing also applies to Anton-Bruckner-Straße in the north.”

Mayor Max Gotz emphasized that the most important issues of the future, such as conversion, will certainly not be over until the next local elections in 2026: "We need at least another six years for that." Gotz was confident that this would work with the many committed people.
