Operation "Create Israel" to Immigrate Ethiopian Jews Month: 180 immigrants landed in Israel
An immigrant ceremony was held for the immigrants at Ben Gurion Airport in the presence of Temanu Sheta and the chairman of the Jewish Agency.
About 3,000 Jews from Ethiopia will come to Israel following the High Court's decision to resume the operation. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance and Absorption agreed to allocate additional resources for the purpose of raising an additional 2,000.

180 immigrants from Ethiopia landed in Israel today (Wednesday), as part of the renewal of Operation "Create Israel".
At the airport, a welcome ceremony was held for the immigrants in the presence of the Minister of Aliyah and Absorption, Pnina Temano Sheta, and the chairman of the Jewish Agency, Yaakov Hagoel
. To Israel following the High Court's decision to renew Operation Create Israel.
Tamano Sheta met with the immigrants last Tuesday in Ethiopia and said that some of the immigrants have been waiting for about two decades to arrive in the country and some are suffering from poverty.
"It's about saving lives," she said.

To date, more than 40,000 Ethiopian Jews have been deported to Israel by the Jewish Agency.
Some were staged as part of covert operations, such as "Operation Moshe", which took place in 1984-1985, and some in overt operations such as "Operation Solomon" in 1991 and Operation "Dove's Wings" held in 2012-2013.
