Measures at
the beginning of the month: At the beginning of June, two of the measures from the 2022 relief package that were discussed in particular will come into effect: as of today, both the 9-euro ticket and the tank discount for diesel and petrol will apply.
There had recently been discussions about both measures.
Immediate price reductions when filling up cannot be expected everywhere, many filling stations still have old fuel in the tanks that was taxed at the original tax rate.
Recently, thousands of gas stations had also increased their prices, so experts warn that a significant part of the tax cuts could get stuck at gas stations and oil companies.
There was also confusion about the 9-euro ticket until the start: the cheap monthly ticket should not be valid on some regional trains.
Transport companies had also warned that public transport could become more expensive after the 9-euro ticket expired than before.
The reason for this is said to be a lack of federal compensation payments, for example for higher fuel prices.
