Relief, disappointment or new expectation: high school students registered on the Parcoursup higher education access platform learn on the evening of Thursday June 2 of the first responses to their wishes, at the end of a year still disrupted by the Covid.

At the end of March, the candidates registered a maximum of 10 wishes and 20 sub-votes among all the formations recognized by the State, without classifying them.
They then had until April 8 to refine their cover letters and application files.
Their first answers fall at 7 p.m.
Parcoursup received this year the wishes of some 936,000 people - including 622,000 high school students and 186,000 students wishing to reorient themselves -.
It will only be possible, at first, to consult the results.
It is a little later in the evening that the candidates will be able to respond to the proposals.
"I'm looking forward to it, because it will be, I hope, a satisfaction, and anyway a relief
," told AFP Ruben Carius, president of the organization Les Lycéens!

"It's very difficult to get a place right away, even when you're a very good student, but it will eventually happen

Several answers are possible for each course: to be accepted ("yes"), to be accepted under conditions ("yes if", for university courses which require the student to follow a course of educational or personalized support), to be in waiting list or even be refused (for selective streams).
For this 2022 session, still marked by the Covid, the specialty written tests, resulting from the reform of the baccalaureate, were not included in the Parcoursup file because they were postponed from March to May.
Instead, the files indicate the averages of specialties over the three terms of Première and the first two of Terminale.
“Students fear that higher-rated high schools will be favored since there have been no national tests for Parcoursup”

Among the training courses most requested by high school students in France, nearly seven out of ten candidates have confirmed at least one wish for a license (excluding LAS, Health Access License) and nearly half for a BTS, according to the Ministry of Education. superior.
Like every year with Parcoursup, not everything is decided on Thursday alone.
The answers of the formations are spread out until July 15th.
Every morning, the platform is updated, and the candidate can receive a new proposal by email or SMS, to a training for which he is on the waiting list.
Candidates release places as they accept or refuse proposals.
They have a limited deadline to respond: for the first admission proposals, received between June 2 and 6, the deadline is June 7.
Then for proposals received from June 7 to July 15, the response time will be two days.
In 2021, some 90,000 candidates were without a proposal at the end of the main phase, and 591 were without assignment at the end of the complementary phase which lasts until September, according to the ministry.
