In the Ukraine war, soldiers die every day, on both sides.

In Russia they still don't want to know anything about it.

Moscow – 99 days ago, the Russian invasion of Ukraine began.

However, international observers have been talking about the Ukraine conflict since 2014, when the Crimean peninsula was illegally annexed.

In the Ukraine war, which means the invasion, there have been enormous losses since then - presumably among both warring parties, Ukraine and Russia.

While the number of soldiers killed and tanks destroyed by the Ukrainian armed forces is largely unknown because hardly any data is published, the data on the Russian side is clearer.

The Ukrainian General Staff publishes new statistics on the heavy casualties almost every day.

Most recently, on Wednesday (June 1), it was said that 30,700 Russian soldiers had fallen in the Ukraine war.

In addition, 1361 tanks, 208 aircraft, 175 helicopters and more than 3000 other military vehicles have already been destroyed.

Ukraine News: Heavy casualties for Russia?

Politicians know nothing

This information cannot be independently verified.

However, the data contrasts with the information from the Kremlin.

About a month ago it was said in Moscow that only around 2,000 soldiers had died in the Ukraine war.

Since then: radio silence on this topic.

Meanwhile, NATO is assuming a far higher number of fallen soldiers.

According to an estimate from April, this should be around ten times higher.

British Ministry of Defense on Russia's losses

The British Ministry of Defense recently reported, citing information from British intelligence, that around 15,000 Russian soldiers had been killed so far.

This is the only allegedly independent statement.

The ministry's latest report read of "devastating losses" in Russia.

Now the chairman of the Defense Committee of the State Duma, Andrei Valeryevich Kartapolov, has provided new insights into the Kremlin's understanding of war.

There is simply no reason to keep statistics, after all there are no casualties in the Russian military.

This is reported by the medium Nexta.

There was only one statement on the losses in the army – and that was from the President himself: Vladimir Putin admitted this in his speech on May 9, the “Day of Victory” over Nazi Germany.

He promised support to the affected families.

Everything is being done "to provide care and help to the relatives," said Putin in his speech.

He had already signed a corresponding decree.
