PARISIAN INFO. The presidential finalist and the Prime Minister refused to participate in the France 3 debates with the candida

They are among the headliners of the legislative elections.

And they will not argue with their opponents.

As part of the elections of June 12 and 19, France 3 has been organizing debates for several weeks in many constituencies.

Nearly 245 televised confrontations will have been broadcast by the first round, out of the 577 seats to be allocated.

In the campaign in the Loiret, Jean-Michel Blanquer thus played the game this Wednesday, June 1, just like Éric Zemmour the previous week who crossed swords with his competitors from the Var.

But, according to our information, France 3 will not be able to offer a debate either in the 11th district of Pas-de-Calais, where Marine Le Pen is a candidate for re-election, or in the 6th district of Calvados where Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne is competing for the first time.

“No issue”… or agenda incompatibility

The entourage of the presidential finalist confirms that their champion will not go to the antenna of France 3 Hauts-de-France, contrary to what she had done during the two previous legislative elections.

According to a relative, there is “no issue” to debate, as she seems unbeatable.

Elected MP in 2017 with more than 58% of the votes in the second round, Marine Le Pen established her electoral stronghold in Pas-de-Calais.

In her constituency, she easily came out on top in the two rounds of the presidential election with 45.2% then 63.4% of the vote.

Without Marine Le Pen, no debate possible.

This is the rule set by France Télévisions to respect speaking times.

“We do not propose a debate everywhere.

We decide according to the electoral stakes and the motivation of the candidates, ”explains an executive from France Télévisions.

Taking note of the lack of enthusiasm of the founder of the RN, the public group therefore did not send an invitation to its opponents in the 11th district of Pas-de-Calais.

Something to annoy the ecologist Marine Tondelier, invested under the Nupes banner.

"When she's the outsider, she jeers at Emmanuel Macron but she does the same," she squeaks in reference to the President of the Republic's refusal to debate before the first round of the presidential election.

An angle of attack on which the candidate intends to emphasize in a video that she will broadcast this Thursday.

The situation is the same for Elisabeth Borne, reluctant to fight for an hour in front of the cameras.

Officially for scheduling reasons.

“She has many obligations as head of government, we assume in her team.

We proposed a shorter program, which posed problems of speaking time.

The Prime Minister also did not respond to the invitation from France 2, which provides for an evening of debate on Thursday June 9 at 8:50 p.m.

Léa Salamé and Laurent Guimier hoped to confront Élisabeth Borne with Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Marine Le Pen and the leaders of other political parties.

The public channel has therefore reviewed its copy and withdrawn its invitations.

France 2 is finally considering an evening with representatives of the various parties.
